I realise that DS, I just don't think it is a realistic option. Australia at least borders on Asia if you want to argue that it isn't physically part of Asia, but Geopolitically, I would argue it is a definitely a part of Asia, and becoming more so as time goes by (as is NZ)
NZ is not part of Nth America geographically, politically, or any other way.
I'm not arguing the intent, just the realism of the option proposed
P.S. Go the NZ Cricket Team!

Fair call. Most of Oz's trade deals are with Sth East Asian nations, but yeah, our northern lands are definitely near enough to Asia as one could possibly be. It's easier, from Darwin, to get to Jakarta and Dili then it is to Canberra.
My idea for NZ (or Oceania as a whole) in lobbying to join CONCACAF has come about due to (from what I can see) NZ's relationship with some US matters, Asia's concerns about NZ, and also that CONCACAF, after Asia, is the next 'weakest' Confederation, and ripe for some extra teams (e.g. New Zealand) to strengthen it.
It's left field, but at least shows some 'outside' thinking.
I'll leave the rest up to you boys.
