Vaughan defends Black Caps' USA series
New Zealand Cricket chief executive Justin Vaughan is defending the decision to send the Black Caps to the United States for a Twenty20 series against Sri Lanka in May.
The three-match series will take place shortly after the Twenty20 World Cup concludes in the Caribbean.
Vaughan says the series is worthwhile for everyone concerned, as America wants to grow and develop the game and is happy to help out.
He hopes the series will be just the start of a long-term relationship with USA Cricket.
"It's a pretty small operation but USA Cricket is really wanting to grow and develop the game and we're happy to do our part in that."
