It's a mix. Everything from 3rd XI down to social. My team (4th XI plays one dayer and two dayer) and for example has a mix of very good players, people who picked it up late in life and some new college kids. The club is small (about 9 teams in all) but laid back and no ego issues with the top teams. We cater to all levels!
