From an England perspective I'm not sure what to think of Sri Lanka's performance yesterday. Either "maybe they also aren't that good and we might even have a chance next weekend" or "bloody hell even Afghanistan are going to beat us."
Afghanistan while a bit dodgy with the bat and in the field bowl very well. Lack a bit of consistency but bowl a truckload of wicket taking balls which other associate teams don't. It's just a pity they lack a quality spinner who floats it up as that could have been the difference for them. Their #1 spinner at the moment is just a bit of a flat/fast/containment bowler who got pushed around for easy singles.
