Wow! Huge cricket news...Blackcaps tour may be called off as the BCCI have had their accounts frozen by a court in India. Looks like some big issues ahead for them.

Although it may put us out of our batting misery. Can anyone remember the last time we were 250+/4 or better outside the Zimbabwe tour? It feels like we are always around 200/5 trying desperately to claw somewhere near 300.
The test arena is still a frustrating one and even more so now that we're a real force in both limited overs versions of the game. Guptil is all at sea and Taylor isn't anywhere near his best - Latham and Williamson are the only batsmen I trust right now. It's been a shame to see Watling struggle as he seemed to be on the up and up.
The problem is, we have other options in New Zealand right now in the first class arena but for some reason they aren't seen as options.
- Is Popli from ND able to play for New Zealand or is he an overseas player? 1149 first-class runs last season but you never hear his name in BlackCaps discussion.
- Ben Smith? FC average of 41.50 and 61.13 last season including a 244.
- McClure from Canterbury. He's only 22 and scored 667 runs @ 60.63 with a high score of 193* last season
