I'm just speculating here, but I'm not sure Jesse is keen on the BlackCaps at all. Obviously he gets a lot of criticism, some warranted, some not, and I'm just not sure he can deal with it. And if so, I have no problem with him just bashing it in all forms of domestic cricket and making money playing IPL etc.
I don't think the treatment of Taylor (considering how long they have played together) is helping encourage him. The fact that he didn't head off all round the world in the 2nd half of last year indicates to me he wants to play international cricket (i'm sure he could have gotten big $ to play Big Bash too if he wanted), but I agree, if he doesn't think the environment is right then good on him if he climbs on board the T20 international merry go round.
