bit of a sad weekend for Wellington United
Ian Johnston, WDU National League winning coach in 1976. Played for Diamond 1960-66, Coached them in 1967. Coached WDU 1970-73, 75-78 won 1 National League, 2 Central Leagues and Hilton Petone Cup as a coach. Won 3 Venus Shield's as a player RIP
Also Tim Robertson, father and great supporter of women's first team players Michaela & Jemma Robertson. Had a heart attack on the pitch while playing for North Wellington Onslows. Only 53 years old, gone way to soon, thoughts are with the Robertson family RIP
