I just cant stand the TV3 ads for the world cup like everyone in the coiuntry is hanging on every move. Yeh right! Our local competition in Wellington is higher quality than Georgia versus Canada yet the commentators went on as though this was one of the greatest matches ever played - did anyone watch live even in Georgia?

At least soon the real competition (in disguise as the Tri Nations) will start.

Yeah Rugby World Cups never really start till the semis maybe quarters at a stretch and that's quite sad.

They should change the format of the RWC. Three teams qualify straight for the semis (we all know who they are ) and everyone else goes through a round robin to become the fourth semi-finalist. Then I might think about watching it. But probably not.

I enjoy watching the world cup to see the smaller countries play, I don't find it boring at all. I think it's good some of these smaller nations get a go. It is brilliant to see some of the passion they are playing with and really giving it a good go against countries they would never normally get a chance to play against.

Did the holw nighter last night watching the footy and rugby. Canada put a good performance, Fiji were exciting and SCOTLAND are thru! yaaaay

Yeah Fiji are the most exciting team by a mile at this World Cup. The other two matches were awful though.

Yesterday, I was so exhausted from a six-hour ecology conference and no sleep the night before.

I had to choose to watch either the match against Perth, or watch my Pumas beat Ireland.

As hard as it was to not see Argentina win, I have NO regrets! Hahaha

I'll be up for Argentina vs Scotland, hopefully by then my Oktoberfest-induced hangover will have cleared up!

So what at the end of the day they lost same as they have done at other world cups.Dont see how they can be the best team all the time yet continually fail to win the games that really count.
Possession, Territory, Lineouts, Scrums, means nothing at all if they are better in all those if as you said they cant be in front where it really does count.The most sickening thing about it is all the crap we are going to get from all forms of the media.

No we weren't the best team in 91, 95 or 03. Only one team was out there actually trying to put together phases and constructive moves and that was the All Blacks. France was just kick and hope and in the end it won the game for them. All i can say is i hope Argentina win it now.

In every sport the referee is always biased against whatever team I support. I noticed also that whatever side of the pitch I sit on, the linesmen on my side always gets the calls wrong against the Phoenix. In fact, I've never seen a referee or linesmen ever be bias towards a team I support, somehow they are always got at by the opposition.

that ref sucked how the hell could you miss the forward pass and the bloody French were always cheating at least i have south Africa to fall back on

Nice penalties by Wilkinson though - I can see why people find this game exciting . . 

I reckon the best thing would be to keep the current coach on - but I imagine he has resigned by now.
