Probably the best thing I've ever read:

Our family was always Heinz tomato sauce and HP (fuck off daddies).

My aunt who was an appalling cook used Salad cream a lot. We only ever used it in the summer with salads as you should in the 70's.

It is great but it's for salads only that will invariably be attacked by pissed off wasps.

edit: I am a fan though as nothing else quite tastes like it.

In my later years of course it was great on any hangover food as a accompaniment when you ran out of Heinz T sauce..
