The answer to life's problems are rarely found at the bottom of a beer glass - but it's always worth a look.

If you are, however, in a situation where you feel you *must* leave, first think - is it really that bad? Can I do anything to make home life more enjoyable? If not, then talk to your school guidancer counselor, or a WINZ case worker, and they will be able to help you figure out what you want and how you can get it. There is a benefit scheme for young people living independantly from their families, this may help.
I strongly suggest that leaving be your absolute last choice, but it is up to you. Make sure you think it through and come to a decision you can stand by. Best of luck.
Look before you leap son, thats all i'll say.
He cut his own hair the otehr day and there was bald spots eveyrwhere lol

Yeah mine sent me to school with my lunch wrapped in a road map.
How will you afford rent if you do stay in school?
If you get a job you will still be on youth rates. (Less than minimum wage).
Stay at home, see if you can pick up part time work and get the stuff you want or buy the things you are going to need when you eventually do leave.
If school isn't working out, talk to a counselor - schools aren't set up to support people who are good at other stuff, like trades. Trade certs do have pre-req's though, so if you are interested, find out what they are (ring a polytech or equivalent place) and start doing that. That way you hopefully won't end up shafted doing a job you hate.
Flatting is expensive and even when you like your flatmates they will still drive you up the wall a fair bit of the time, because you still have the same problem as at home, which is lack of privacy.
Unless you have a real issue where you are concerned for your safety, don't do it.
