Sadly game is completely unplayable for me since the new patch. Crashes every game.

Mine was doing it once in every 20 post release.  Last night it probably increased to one in four.

I'm thinking of having a fling with the new garage.  It's gorgeous.

just got a beta code for this game for the xbox360....sadly have gone now to the dark side and await my PS4 so wont be xboxing in the interim as CM2014 will keep me going

Yesterday on news two battles.  average 2.1k damage.  Both losses.

It's 10 battles since I won in tier 7 across both accounts.

At last! DayZ Alpha is here!!!!

Played 5 hours of DayZ for an Alpha I was expecting a lot worse and graphically it looks nice with out many bugs so far. 88000 joined on the first day. I've never seen so many Newb dead lying around near the spawn points or sitting there bleeding out with nothing worth looting. Met someone in a house and we both thought each other were Z's so legged it in opposite directions!

The cities are huge but very empty I'm avoiding at the moment and I'm heading for the country managed a good loot off a dead player but then got trapped by 2 dead in a house and bled out. 

The bastards can still see from way off and there is random growling/moaning than sh*tes you up as you can't tell where it's coming from. It's still tricky going in with a axe or crowbar without getting injured and without bandages that means death.

Guns are pretty scarce at the moment so the best strategy is don't loot more than 4 buildings per town and try and hit the cafe/supermarket first. The longer you hang around the more Z's show up and it can be quite unexpected.  If they spot you  run and try and cut their line or sight. Trees and zig-zaging

Easily the most atmospheric zombie/survival horror that I've played. 

I'm missing the really ghoulish hopping and crawling Z's but this is the Alpha after all they'll turn up.

DayZ - Just amazing. I decided to go for  'The Governor" rather than a Rick approach - there is no mercy or compassion at the end of the world just death and killed 3 players in hand to hand combat yesterday. Also once you get an axe Z's are toast, they can still be tricky but can be killed without injury.

So far looking good just need to head further inland to get a decent gun.

I love this game.

Playing on a server that has 30 odd people. I logged in up north to find 50% of the houses looted. Something I would do - in and out and leave the shitty ones.75% of people playing are going to be noobs but what about the rest? There must be as player here.This is up north so not noob-country. I'm talking serious north - nobody will be up there unless they are good.

Vickmeist says she just can't get her head about the running around. I've kept this toon alive for 10 hours.

The game is - That I know a fairly skilled player is surviving around where I am. If we meet are we going to try and kill each other? I will try and kill him you have to. Will he cr*ap his pants or put up a fight? What weapons do he/she have?

My axe is damaged and I just can't find a new one. Trying to head to Starry to get a gun. I've got food and drink but the weapon issue is massive.

This is harder than The Walking Dead and there are always the Z's....

Just got killed by a bandit. 30 odd hours invested in that toon. Machine gun, 200+ rounds of ammo. Camo gear, everything.

Just bought FM14 though, so probably shouldn't get dayZ just yet. 

Toon died through my own stupidity when I afk'd too near a town and stayed in game to check the map I died by the hand of a Zed.

Since then bad luck - Mind you those two clowns in Elektro - ran around like a pair of girls - jeez talk about losing your bottle. I reckon I killed one of yez and the other was lucky cuse he had a gun and I didn't. ARGHHHHGHHHHHHH!!!!

Jeez - having a little bit of canned sardines out in a copse of bushes near Stary when some bandit creeps up on me and hit me with his axe - How the f*ck did he spot me? I was very careful. Thought I'd wasted him and was applying a bandage when out he pops again and gets another hit on me.  

This time I put a half a double-taped clip into him just to make sure.  He's dead but has f*cked me up. I've got enough to survive but I'm going to have hold up somewhere out of the way and heal.

Bad place to be injured. Very bad.

Zeds are one thing but other players....

Still alive with this guy.... But it's getting tougher.

After getting hit in the face with an axe by a fellow player/bandit/survivor I managed to find a small empty town cleared it of Zeds and rested.

I realized  half my gear was munted by that idiot with the axe so I needed to replace it and the best place is that sweet spot way way north.

Headed up there and found a nice pair of designer sunglasses to replace the ones caved in with my face and I was looking pretty good.

However - it's taken everyone a couple of weeks though, my sweet spot has been invaded by geared up players/survivors.

Looting a building I was a bit sus about some loot that was on the floor. It shouldn't have been there it may have been dropped by another survivor. So I was mental on edge and just as well as a geared up dude came in and I had to kill him.

The second survivor was looting a building that already had it's doors open that screamed to me "SOMEONE HAS BEEN HERE BEFORE!!!" -If that was me I would have run like hell and zigzagged my way out of there. He/she didn't  so they had to be killed.

Both had good gear but not great gear - both would have put 3-4 hours into their toons. Sorry guys but DayZ is completely unforgiving.

Always shut doors when you are inside and when you leave as it gives people a false sense of security.

When you are trying to loot hot spots be on ur f*ucking guard you idiots.

I think I've killed around 4 or 5 people now and it's starting to get to me...

I'm still playing tanks. 

Played my 7000th battle on Siggy yesterday. South Spawn on Highway. Tier 8.  ...a loss.

Win rate is on a perpertual slide currently.  So many reds on my side.  So many Greens, Blues and Purples on the other.

Sigh.

Still by the end of the day i will be the owner of an Object 704, a Sturer Emil, a Chi Nu and Possibly an SU-101.

Actually, turns out I'm just two off 1000 on news as well.

Just ground out the Lee to both the T1 and the M4 in a couple of weeks and the Jackson for the T25 AT.  Up to tier 5 in the Japanese on both accounts.  Also finished the SU-100M1 to get the 101 and Free XPed the rest of the ISU but I'll keep it.  Oh, and the Alecto... and I have a Bishop (shame).

Still run alot of 4s.

Tried my hand at dayZ. 

Found the controls quite clunky, perhaps I just need to get used to them? 

Ended up just wandering around at random, picking up a mask, bike helmet, torch and batteries. 

Found it quite addictive even doing just that. 

Most other players/bandits/psychos are KOS especially if they have guns - they will just fire on you cuse they can't take the risk that you will try and kill them. I've not met a friendly player in weeks - everyone has tried to kill me so be careful.

The more geared up a player the more paranoid they are as they don't want to lose their gear.

Just hacked a player to death for his boots - God that was cold.

After the wipe I managed to find clothes but no boots. I saw this player in the airfield and then I legged it - composed myself thought - hmmm he has nice stuff and then attacked him.

I actually feel pretty bad as he would have put at least 4 hours into that toon. He should have run the fool.

I'm pretty average at it, but have only been playing for under 2 hours so to be expected. 

Still tended to just wander round, not finding much. Did get a backpack and a baseball bat. But eventually I died of starvation - woops. Couldn't really find food anywhere, am sure I'll find spots eventually, just a matter of getting used to the game and map. 

I'm finding it really addictive, but ultimately pointless so I wonder how long my interest in it will last. I'm not usually one to try to get achievements very much, but it seems like this game is tailor made for it, so its unusual (especially for a game on steam) that it doesn't have any. You basically just go round looting items, but for what purpose? Of course more and better items = more fun.
