I also don't understand why people think Russell Brand is funny. He irritates the crap out of me. Katy Perry is also annoying but at least she is just shamelessly poppy and bubblegummy, whereas Brand's whole thing just seems to be "I'm a man wearing eyeliner, I'm so rock n roll, whoa," - at least from the 15mins of his standup I saw that was my impression. Dude, you're just focussing on your (not even interesting) appearance because you actually aren't very funny.

Why are whales the only animals we need to kill to conduct scientific research? No one goes out shooting tigers claiming its okay because its in the name of science. If you can prove that you can sustainably harvest whales for food you might have an argument for whaling but to say that you do it for science is just clearly bullsh*t

yeah I just had a look at wikipedia and it said there are 105,000 of them out there, so I'd say it can definitely be sustainably harvested. I guess what pisses me off isn't that they're killing whales if those whales aren't an endangered species, its the excuse that its for science.

The problem with any form of seafood harvesting is making sure people stick to quotas etc, so flat out banning whaling protects them whereas if you said you can catch 500 a year or whatever, it'd be relatively easy to just overdo it and fudge the numbers.

Trying to arrange transport down to Wellingtown from Napier for 12 Pubs of Lochhead this year.

Flying home to Newcastle the next day for Christmas so driving isn't a realistic option (airport parking plus having to pick up car and drive it home upon my return)

Buses arrive into Wellington at stoopid times on the Saturday so will miss most of the frivolity. Planes not overly cheap but provide me with the best possible arrival time and condition.

Fudge you Napier for being in such a fudgeed up regional area not anywhere near anything!

1) After using steam for the last few days I've realised just how much we over pay for video games in this country.

2) I purchased Fallout: New Vegas from steam but it wont fudgeing work! (yes my specs are up to scratch.) $35 gone.
