Tip - can't speak for Mormons, but I know Jehovah's Witnesses carry around a black book with addresses of houses to avoid. You can even get on the list by asking politely - I simply said "Look, I respect your right to believe what you do, and your right to promote those beliefs in a non-intrusive manner. However last time you visited, you left behind some homophobic literature suggesting my sister was going to hell simply because she's a lesbian - something she cannot change, and shouldn't have to change. Could you PLEASE not harass us any more?"
Naturally that tact won't work with groups like Destiny which get off on being homophobic, but it can work with some of the more reasonable faiths (oh my god did I just call the JW's reasonable?!
