I'm thinking we will have to cut around both cables, which will make a nice big unsightly hole in the living room floor.
It's not like he must have never encountered cables coming through floor boards before.

The floor guy who just took a grand off us for doing our floor boards who did not seem to think to pull the sky cables through the floor and pin them to the nearby windowsill instead he pushed them back down, applied the polyurethane, which has now bonded with the said cables making them immovable. One cable has already come away from it's casing, and looks pretty f*cked.
