Today, the captain of the Rena has appeared in the Tauranga District Court. His name was suppressed but his age & ethnicity wasn't. Now I fear that there will be "retribution" against that ethnic community & people who look like that ethnic group by uneducated, small-minded idiots.

I don't think you are even close. Apart from people in mental institutions nobody could hold that'ethnicity' responsible.It does not matter where he is from, he is just a piss poor captain.
