Chorus - Fixing our phone line.

So the technician is supposed to turn up at between 09:00 and 12:00. At 13:30 I find a card saying the problem was fixed, (our internet and phone cutting out at peak times). The tech had not come up to explain what had happened. Still we thought it was the outside relay so sweet.

I log on to the net - nothing. I tried phoning Chorus of course the phone is dead. So nothing works now even outside peak times.

Call Chorus get a very helpful guy he gets the tech to return a couple of hours later.

Tech buggers about for 30 mins. "It's all right now" he says. I say "What about the internet? As I noticed he's not gone near the Modem or other phone jack. 'Yes it's all working" He replies.

I ask him to stay, whilst I check. The Internet is dead still. Tech can't believe it I have to tell him twice it's still dead, (what the f*ck do you expect when you've not checked it?) 

Another 45 minutes and finally he's fixed it and although reluctant to do so does stay around whilst I reboot the comp.  I reckon he could have done the job in around an 2 hours but this job basically took him all day. If I'd not checked I would have had to call him out again and It wouldn't have been fixed that day.

The whole process for us has taken days to get sorted because of Vodafone and then Chorus.

Tech Guy - In future just do your job probably. Check to see you've fixed it rather than assuming it's fixed and buggering off.

Gone are the days when you just report a doggy line and someone comes out and just fixes it.
