Plenty of greek and turkish around resturants.

Although if your thinking eastern block / soviet cuisine then the only place I can think of right now is Armenia on a plate place in capital markets, although its not a resturant. I can't remember the Armenian names that they use but is all pretty much soviet fare (all the really good soviet food came from the caucasus regions). I've had the stuffed cabbage which in russian is called gollubsti. It was really good, the only difference is that it was served with sour cream whereas in Russia the source is carrot and sourcream based.

I want to try the shishlicks (shish kebabs) and blini (savory pancakes) next time.

Edit: Google is your friend, can't vouch for it but this place looks good: http://www.topor.co.nz/menu
