Find it strange that homes teams, from now on in the Chatham Cup (apart from the Final) have to pay NZ Football a 'match fee', $250 + GST this round, then $350 +GST and finally $550 + GST for the semi's, this is in addition to the $250 + GST is costs to entry.

Wonder how much the ISPS Handa Sponsership is worth?

Those fees are supposed to be used to help travel costs from this stage on for away teams making 300km plus trips (Nelson, Caversham this round).

ISPS Handa sponsorship has had no practical impact on Chatham Cup fees (see also the 500 or 250 (I can't recall which) they pull in as an entry fee from 128 teams - that's either 64k or 32k, so where the fudge does it go? They just get their name out there (the money is in NZF's coffers somewhere).

Nelson Suburbs having to bus to Christchurch today, staying over night, flying to Queenstown, before staying overnight before flying back to ChCh and then busing back to Nelson on Sunday - costing the club around $10,000, so would be interesting to see what 'help' they will receive.
