Blockhouse Bay of course amalgamated with Green Bay to play as Bay Olympic from 1998. The Blockhouse Bay team of the 70's was one of the finest teams in the country winning the National League / Chatham Cup double in 1970 and in the ensuing 6 years never finishing lower than 5th.
