The refs have named TEN assessors for the table topping Petone v Wharf game. Are they all there to look at A. R. Patrick??

Well I am sitting my AR Level 2 Badge during the game... so think they are just making sure I actually deserve it before they award it to me.

Massive result for Wharf. 2 points clear of Petone now, who have picked up 1 point of the last 6 available.

Could all change next week as Petone take on bottom of the table BNU and Wharfies host Wests Ressies, who knocked them off 4-2 at Endeavour in the first round.

Does the Karori Coach get an automatic 4 match ban for being sent of ?  - I presume it must have been for what he way was saying, so is that automatically "foul/abusive language at match official" ?

Also..whats the requirements on where someone sent from the dugout has to go.. Is it just the other side of the fence or a certain minimum distance from technical area etc ?

No it doesn't. I'd say it will be one game.

And who knows. We have covered this before.

interesting how i watch the game before and scott easthope is abusing the ref at length and gets nothing yet in the next game nothing is said to the ref (not saying it wasn't worthy of anything btw (but I have never seen that Lino in my life before))

I think the problem here was that the Wharf coach continued to coach from behind the dugout, so the ref told him to go to the stand.

From LOTG.

(The referee) takes action against team officials who fail to act in a responsible manner and may expel from the field of play and its immediate surrounds.

IMO the fence inbetween the dug outs very close to the field qualifies as immediate surrounds. Further away would be appropriate.

Yep. The promotion of Havelock North or NP Rangers will probably weaken the other teams in their region. All three teams at the bottom of the Central League stand to have their reserve team relegated when one of them takes the drop. Comes back to the Capital Premier League winners.

They still have to play each other home and away. They play three rounds up there.

yes all clubs in New Plymouth are part of TT so can't come up as long as TT exist so looks like Havelock North who are coached by ex Hawkes Bay United coach Chris Greatholder but still 1 round to go

I have read a lot of negative things in the forums regarding Wellington Football lately so wanted to put something positive out there. After the game on Saturday (Petone v Karori) the Karori players were very kind in their words as soon as the whistle blew, we were gutted obviously but I found it to be very respectful. So thanks to their players it is nice to play a hard game and it all be left on the park.

The vast majority of games are played and end this way every week.

Wicked. It is good that it happens in most games. Just never really gets voiced, the negative is always forefront of any discussions.

The winner of the cap prem league will go up to CL.  I don't see Havelock North toppling Petone or Waterside to make the jump.

The Central Federation league title is being contested by 2-3 side max by the looks of it. Havelock, NP Rangers and Wanganui Athletic

Question. If NP Rangers win the Central Federation and are ineligible does the play off spot get offered to the 2nd placed side (Havelock more then likely) or does the Cap Prem winner just get auto promotion.

No one really saw Team Taranaki going up last season

If NP Rangers won the league the playoff spot would go to the 2nd place team.

Current league state is

Havelock North P-11 Pts-28

Wanganui Athletic P-12 Pts-23

NP Rangers P-10 Pts-22

They play 18 games so still a bit to go, but Havelock North have only lost once this season so should do it
