Interesting to see the Participation Agreement mentioned here. My best guess is that CF gave some kind of blanket dispensation for Phoenix players (or Phoenix thought they did) but players are actually registered for LHC so it didn't apply. Hope we get the whole story at some stage.

I'd guess IF a blanket dispensation type agreement was given to Nix, by default it should also be expected to apply to LH, if this year they are still "one & the same" in terms of player registration ? 
 
For it not to apply universally there would have to be a "either or registration" to Nix or LH & each treated as a seperate entity
