interesting that capital football are introducing social summer leagues this year, what is this in response to... demand? revenue? fear of players joining other competitions?

Clubs must surely be starting to push back on increase in affiliation fees every year what are the 2000 odd social football players getting back? No referees, split leagues, games at rubbish times resulting in no bar revenue for clubs, happy valley every other week.

I don't know how any club without junior academy revenue and relying on the social or community aspects of the football club are meant to survive with capital footballs business model.

100% to try to get the local competitors that have popped up out of business - trying to undercut on price as well. Social football is changing rapidly in Wellington. By my count Capital Leagues are down ~50 social teams from when i moved here 7 years ago - and I don't see it stopping anytime soon.

Better Football, Twilight and Sunday League are all streets ahead of what Capital Football can offer social footballers, at a lower cost. Its a no brainer.
