barber21, you could play center midfield? when the ankles back in good health of course  if easty17 was an angry gin-gins like his older sibling id put him in there. my picks are blair mclean from wests, solid young player who runs all day and puts himself about and steve romijn from tawa but perhaps hes better used on the wing or roaming?

I would go for a midfield 3 of the Wairarapa lad and Winkworth and McCullough from Petone. The wide players would be Pickering from Petone and Burling from Upper Hutt.

sounds like him plays cm who said the GK from rapa should be in the team he was disgraceful we tried to get the ball out of the net to hurry the game up so he started kickn out at our players muppet

barber21 honestly you talk crap mate! you talk crap on this forum, talk crap on and off the field also. you talk the talk off the field but this year you did nothing on the field to back your mouth. played for the hutt 2nds, dropping from the firsts bench, and did you stand out or even lead from the front as an experienced player NO, definitely not. you are only involved with the first team due to your relationship with the first team coach. i respect people who back up what they say on the field but sadly you fell short in performances.

wairapa 4 hutt 2, even game but poor defensive errors and class finishing from rabo the difference. rabo 4 goals, best player in the league on his day! him, centre back and other defender playing for fiji in oceania qualifiers v all whites.. czech was outstanding also.

Geez, I dont really want to stick up for Barber but he's been injured most the season Goldie. Hard to perform when you're spending more time on the Physio's bed than the field. He did at least turn up and support his team every week.

yea some of the tackles in that game were crazy! think hutt missed scott jnr yesterday but rabo and the fijian CB who plays were eva he wants were class dont think theyve had that team out all season

Didnt carney get injured 1st game of 2nd round.. i didnt hear much of fim in 1st round.. except scoring a couple against brooklyn.. Maybe wests are regretting letting him go now!

oh don't ya love the "love" in here!  injured or otherwise I doubt i wud have taken much part in the 2nd round anyways due to some fairly heavy work commitments as of late (oh to be a student again).

I'd like to see what Maccas opinion of me being "involved" with the 1st team is, i doubt it was just becoz of any personal relationship.....if it was the case I wud have expected to start every game, so im not sure where ya got that one "Goldie"

Carney mate, you'd be in my Champs team anyday. You need a bit of mungrol and having played against you I see you as the perfect candidate.

It appears the play offs are not due to start until the 1st of September, Maybe someone could pick this Champs premier team and contact Petone to see if they require a game to keep them match fit? Lets put some urgency into this as it would be good to get Petone up into Central League so they can't have a 3 peat next year!

Its fair to say Rabbo would have booked his starting spot after another game where he proved to be the difference between the two sides. Jamieson is out of my selection team after his pathetic effort at beeing a savage in the weekend, good to see no one from wairarapa tried to have his back after what he did and they were all actually pritty embarressed!

Rabo was always in the team, good to see he's back in form though! Although maybe its not so good for the all whites.

isn't this team going to be picked to play and 'experienced' based team?? wouldn't stick be playing for them? if not he'd start....otherwise i'd go for hill- even though he's been dry for 2 weeks

That would be the trouble with trying to organise a young fellas team to play an old fellas team. No-one could get the young fellas organised.
