worst part of this hitting the emdia before anything could be resolved is the resultant trial by public opinion, both the alleged offenders and capital football are going to get slammed. At the end of the day all of us have abused another player or ref for being thick useless or just doing something we don't like. Personally I can accept the general insults that get thrown around. It's when the attacks get personal ie insults pertaining to race, sexuality etc that I find offensive. Genearlly for someone to come out with a racist slur takes a bit of practice or repetition - these guys are likely to be racist, sexist, homophobic in normal conversation not just the heat of a game.
For the current seatoun vs LHFC, I say place a cap footy observer at both clubs games, see what happens. Are the Seatoun guys particularly dirty, or angsty towards the refs? Are the LHFC lads overly aggressive abusive of the opposition - if so make notes and deal with it efficiently. The rules are there, so cap footy needs to be enforcing them.
