Canterbury United has appointed Alan Walker as the 2013 Canterbury United Youth Head Coach.
Walker has coached the team successfully in the past, winning the title 2 of the 3 seasons he held the reins.
Walker is excited about further developing the youth players that are
coming through the talent programmes from around the region. “I’ve
enjoyed the role immensely in the past, and look forward to working with
Keith and the Club in continuing to see Canterbury United succeed on
the national stage.”
One of Walker’s first tasks will be to
identify the up and coming players to challenge the established players
to field the best team possible. An assistant coach will be appointed in
due course.
Good appointment in my mind. Oversees FTC etc so knows what is around and doesnt have a kid in the age group...
