Not sure about your comment re "these results show we NEED a SI league for both male and female senior teams" Scottie, in fact I think the results show the opposite i.e. both teams won without participating in a south island league.
Not that I am opposed, quite the opposite and am aware of several clubs in support of the concept in ChCh. An 8 team league in Dunners will certainly help, maybe we will see top 4 after 2 rounds in each federations league play home and away in a South Island one round championship in 2015? With first playing 2nd for the overall title alternating each year between ChCh and Dunedin? Would give clubs 21 games with the level ramping up through the 2nd half of the season. Perfect preparation for the Chatham Cup and ASB Premiership.
