Picking up on some of the Div 1 posts a page or two back....this weekend sees the last of the first round games, with FC20 sitting bottom on GD and playing away to the experienced cashmere turtles who sit 3rd but just 1 point off top. A loss by fc will see them needing a turnaround in the final 7 games to avoid relegation to the 3rd or 4th tier of football in Chch (depending on whether you think Reserves sits above Div 2).
At the top, Chch Utd should take 3 from parklands to remain 1st at the halfway point; with Waimak likely to remain 2nd on goal diff when they take on hornby.
On paper - none of the current standings should change over this weekend - except for a bigger gap opening up for the bottom 3 teams.
