News coming out of Dunedin that there is not going to be South Island Football Championship Final this season (play-off between the winner's of the FootballSouth and Mainland Premier League).

Hope this is not the case, if so will be interesting to hear what the reason is considering all thr positive talk about some form of a South Island League in 2018.

Is Mainland's turn to host the SIFC this season.

Rumour is that both National League (SSP) coaches see this fixture as compromising the preparation of their squads. Huge conflict of interest then for both Mainland and Football South who run the 2 respective SS Premiership entities. The winter clubs pay affiliation fees to the Federations and with that comes the expectation that they will not be dudded at the last minute with cancellation the SIFC. This is manifestly the wrong call; the SSP coaches should be instructed to prepare knowing that the SIFC match will take place.

Think it is Football South's turn to host, AW82 - Caversham won it at English Park last year?

Yes you are correct Steptoe, on the venue for this year and your other points as well.
