Excellent, it's Coastal vs Western and Tech vs FC2011.  Can't wait.

Yes FC who have never won the cup against current holders Cashmere Technical play their semi next Tuesday the 24th in a rematch from their Cup Final a few seasons back and then on the 31st, Western who have the most wins in the Cup against Coastal Spirit who are out to lift the cup for the first time.

Don't know why the dates are that way around, the draw clearly has Western and Coastal come out first and named as the first semifinal?

Does it really matter as which semi is first?

Edit: Yer, maybe I shouldn't have written that.

Here's some anonymous gossip in my inbox this morning, interesting reading and not something I expected when I asked this question yesterday. Canty Utd have trainings every second Tuesday (mentioned in the South Island League thread) it means that because Tech have more in the squad they need to have the first semifinal as it would affect them more/less. Dragons trainings mean that players are away from their own club training in the middle of the South Island league and now dictates when football can be played.

Might be all hearsay, but what do yousay?
