Hearing rumors, that there will be an announcement tomorrow on exceptions or rule changes to the new zealand resident rule for the new competition structure for South Island teams.

Also hearing Mainland have gone to NZF to make this happen, lets all be honest here, on Cash Tech's behalf. Just because the top team in the city is STACKED with Non residents, doesn't mean we need the rules changed to accommodate them, those top players would have absolutely no problem walking into any other team in the city.

Absolute disgrace, level playing field please, is that too much to ask?

The draft regulations place a limit on foreign players, where 'foreign' is defined as a 'non-New Zealand citizen'. That is, players with NZ Resident status (or even Permanent Resident status ) are still counted as foreign players. Fact.
