Club website review:
Avon United website may have been taken down; couldn't find it anywhere
Bays have appointed Jose Matiz to junior coaching role
Tech have voted to create a "new joint entity" with Cashmere for 2012
Nomads desperately short of helping hands to fix Tullet Park goalposts

Other goss:
FC2011 (is that a postcode?) desperate for people to join the committee
Coa$tal clubhouse to be rebuilt as "$tate of the art" football centre

Avon Seniors were dead set against the merger and are really septic about it, it was the juniors (marshalled by FDM Tsetso) who got it across the line. Maybe why their website has been taken down?
Tech and Cashmere Wanderers gets a bit tricky, Tech are all for it but the poor people of Cashmere are wary their large, affluent junior club will be plundered to run the seniors.
Bring on the "$tate of the art" Coa$tal football centre .

With all the mergers (present and proposed) football in ChCh is going to look quite different in a couple of years. Will really put the pressure on the smaller stand alone clubs like Western, Bays, Halswell, Nomads and ChCh Utd. With FC Twenty11, Mid Cantebury and Richmond all strong contenders for promotion this year, Cashmere possibly defunct in 2012 and Waimak Utd getting stronger every year what are the chances of returning to a 10 or 12 team league in the near future?
