Ferrymead Bays move closer to title
Ferrymead Bays marched closer to the Mainland Premier Football title with a 2-1 win over Woolston-Technical today.

Their nearest rivals Nelson Suburbs also had a win, but with just four games to go, Bays eight point lead looks likely to be enough.

Mauricio de Oliveira continues to be unstoppable in front of goal and nabbed another double today for Bays.

He scored on either side of halftime and his second half strike was the winner after Stu Bola scored for Woolston Tech from the penalty spot in the first half.

Simon Gatward-Smith scored Nelsons only goal in their 1-0 win over Christchurch United.

Henry Flood scored for Nomads as they continue their late season run.

They beat Halswell 1-0 while Western beat Coastal Spirit 2-1.

In the womens competition, Western beat University 4-1 and Coastal Spirit beat Halswell 3-0. FC Twenty11 beat Woolston Tech by default.
