Watched Coastal beat Halswell 2-0 in the Reta Fitz cup this arvo, tight game and missed all the goals having arrived late. Was there any further news on Tech defaulting the week before? Or forgotten about?

The Tech default seems to have become a non-issue even though all clubs were notified of the draw change for the 23rd July on the 05th of July. Tech then notified Mainland of possible further changes that would have accommodated their request to defer the game from this date, with the support of Coastal. It looks as though Mainland have refused to accept further changes and forced Tech to accept the game on the 23rd. Tech have then defaulted but Mainland so far appear to have taken no further action. Farcical and symptomatic of the poor approach some people take to the women's game in the Mainland region.
Twice now we have seen defaults at the highest level (Parklands v Western in the Englich Cup and Tech v Western in the WMPL). Can't remember it ever happening before and still no action from Mainland ....... dismal. Not a good look.
