From what was doing the rounds back then, the last Nomads women's team left on mass when they and the coach had a tiff about money of some sort with the club. they went to play for Christchurch United, maybe he wanted to get paid more than he was getting for coaching or the players wanted money.
They then ended up at Ferrymead Bays [no surprise that if you looking to be paid] neither of Bays or Chch U have done anything in the women's grade worth raving about.
Bays no women's team anymore and Chch U one team only in the 3rd tier.
Papanui Redwood and Wiamak look as though they could be clubs getting amongst the higher women's grades in a year or two.
