I've been a long time supporter of Western and by the sounds of it a lot of the lads are leaving. Does anyone know who is actually staying? And why everyone is leaving?
Western has been on the decline as a club for a few years IMO. The juniors have pretty much fallen away (I was a junior there back when they were in div 1 for most youth grades), the womens footy has pretty much gone too.
The lack of quality at the junior end of things makes it harder for the mens teams to function properly without huge recruitment.
Its a shame coz they're in a good geographic location with lots of potential.
