SO, how about a player playing Nike Cup for a CLUB in February and now playing for a SCHOOL this winter league. I thought Nike Cup rule stated you had to play for that club that year. Or is there a loophole - ie a school is not a club?
Maybe mainland shot itself in the foot by allowing all of the nelson transfers and decided it was now duty bound to make the transfers here.
The schools are clubs when it suits mainland, but lose the club status at other times.
Example: Boys high and Shirley wanted to play mens div 1 about 3-4 years ago, and mainland said "No, you're a school", yet they still pay club fees and have to follow the same rules the clubs do.
The only time the schools are not clubs is when the kids play for them and then go to play mens footy for their club (we're talking maybe 10 kids in the whole city). This scenario was only brought out as a result of the above example.
