Can see a few of our smaller clubs being absorbed/merging in the upcoming years.

Yes it will be a worry if we lose too many other clubs due to mergers, may get to the situation were there is not enough difference club for eight team leagues. Do not really what to have two or more teams from the same club in the same league. 
Too late now but may of be better for clubs that have disappeared, many were strong in juniors numbers but weak in seniors if the juniors were allowed to stay but then only acting as 'feeders' clubs at senior level.
