Massive round in the MPL this weekend. Who'da thunk Western could top the table after last year's efforts. Perhaps the pre-season tourney is a trend-setter.

I'm picking Bays 2 Tech 2, Coastal 2 Nomads 1, Western 1 Nelson 3, Halswell 4 FC2011 0.

AW82: has there ever been a one-week Hurley Shield reign? There better not be this weekend.

Yes a few - Western, Cashmere Technical (will check the records later). Shield changed hands 6 times last season which was a record - was also like the kiss of death if you were the holder in 2012.
