Pretty ballsy to write it up in the match programme, without seeing the write up I cant really say much more - any online copy?

Southern league is a good idea, but will it cause more drama than its worth?

How do you pick who makes it? geographically? application based on key criteria? based on this seasons results? Who decides the criteria or selects the teams? What happens to the remaining teams?

I can smell a few lawsuits coming if certain clubs dont make the cut.

Don't expect the SI league to happen any time in the next 3 years.

Entry criteria would have to be on the finishing positions of the league at end of MPL rounds then clubs having the right to play or not.

Cost would still be a problem for some clubs unless a travel fund ex Mainland was used.

Why would entry criteria have to be based on the finishing positions? It's a new competition, clubs should have to apply with several criteria needing to be met surely? If cost is an issue for some clubs then surely they don't enter? I'm sure it would be an issue for all clubs but do we want to see an improved standard of football in the city in the very near future or not? Let's make it happen instead of waiting for it to happen. Putting barriers in place before we take steps to get it off the ground is so symptomatic of the approach taken over the last 20 years. Why oh why do we accept defeat before we even start? Progress, not perfection. Let's do it.
