So what can we say about the first round of 3? You'd have to say FC2011 are odds on fave for relegation, however Nomads are only 2 points away, so there is a chance to play their way out. Having watched a few games it would only be those two battling it out, deffo bottom two teams in the league, and won't trouble the other middle of the table clusterf**k that is the MPL. And that leaves Bay$ leading it away with 18 out of a possible 21 (Coastal the only team to take points FYI) so is the title done too?

Where's that crystal ball I had?

Yes looks like FC and Nomads will battle it out for the wooden spoon but my money on FC as out of their seven games so far 5 have been at home which makes the draw a bit strange - Western have only played two at home, with the other six sides having the expected 4 - 3 split.

Last season FC finished the season on 16 points of which eight come in first seven games. So far this season are continuing the same poor form for most of the 2012 season. Also Leon Vannoort - their top striker from last now playing for Halswell.

I think the title race is not done as dusted just yet but Bays have shown that they make the most of their scoring chances but I think that look fail at the flanks at the back but the opposition then need to get the ball pass Highfield. If Tech can string together 4 or 5 wins they should press Bays but last season dropped stilly points to teams at the bottom half of the table.

Suburbs starting to make their move and once the O League play-off finished expect a few Solomon Islanders to head to Saxton Oval.

On the rest - Coastal, Western and Halswell capable for being the spoliers with Coastal and Western to two to press for a top half finish and if Ash and Gareth can reproduce the goal scoring form from last season still have plenty of time to challange for the title.
