Not a lot to report to be honest. I thought it would be a whole lot more interesting. I'll do my best:

  • Clubs asked to push the Sporting Goal fund (EQ or FIFA money gifted to assist people that can't afford to play/do FTC) Not a lot of take up from the public apparently.
  • The numbers of players are still down from before EQ
  • Mainland acknowledged the lack of infrastructure and field quality from around the city
  • Looking at pushing the CCC to create sand-based pitches around the city to improve things and help with FIFA U20 WC bid
  • Big push from some in the audience to create a 'club committee' where member clubs meet and discuss and have a say in how the game is run.
  • Questions regarding the wage bill being high.
  • South Island League mentioned briefly, supposed to be a letter/email going out to all Dunedin clubs to ascertain whether they would be interested in the league.
