Again the reasons why SI league will not happen any time soon. Can understand reasons for Nelson wanting to move to CPL.

Invercargill or Queenstown could be also be in the venues as both have teams in SPL.

Clubs or most of will not put themselves out there if it's a cost that is more than what is going out at present eg 2 MPL or SPL and a Chatham Cup away trip.

We have clubs in Chch that previously got the hump if they get to play away in Nelson in the Chatham Cup or a 2nd away trip to Nelson for MPL.

Cash Tech and Bays and other Christchurch clubs that want a SI league need to do the donkey work as most SPL teams I think can't be bothered with it.

Money and more money, how many clubs want to put themselves in the position of going belly up like the old Bluebird Southern League  almost did to a couple of local clubs.

Why should I pay over $300 in Subs to fund some other team playing out of town?

It will have to be self funding somehow or average club members will throw toys at the amount being spent on one team if they are not winning the comp, so Bays will be in pole position to increase subs.

Lets see how many clubs put up at the Mainland AGM tonight and stick a $5000 non refundable entry fee on the table for a SI league.

Would show Mainland Football at least that clubs are in and not just talk.

Back to more things closer to happening.

Waimak the MPL pretenders will be either found out or give fuel in the next 3 games as they play Mid Cant, Varsity then Chch U.

But should they get up what will they do for a PDL team?

With no team above pressies or masters in the mens and an 18th grade team playing Div 3 or 17s Div 1 [4th behind Hals, Coastal, CTFC] will that cut it?

Other Div 1 snips bottom 2 teams both on zero points Hornby and Selwyn play each other on Sat.
