In tonight's English Cup game Waimak came from a goal down to defeat Selwyn 2 - 1.
0-0 HT. Selwyn up 1-0 scoring from the spot. Waimak responded with a good header from a corner. Then into the last minutes of the game scored again from a corner from a botched clearance.
Just for the record - I was playing for Selwyn tonight - I'm tired and broken old man tonight, but from my point of view - Selwyn played bloody well compared to recent results. I shall now go pass out somewhere and wonder how I"m going to walk tomorrow. (ssssoooo very fast)
Quite dIfferent lineup from earlier encounters. Apparently coach walked out on them last week after string of bad results, and club (only now?) seeking input from Allen and mcMahan. Both at the game which was being recorded. From what I have seen and heard of them in Waimak quality coaches that know their stuff. Odd they haven't been involved yet, maybe more focused on juniors? Clinics they are running in Waimak for youth players are making a marked difference already, and will benefit senior teams. Promotion to MPL 2014? Especially since looks like Uni will lose points despite falling outside 7 day rule introduced last year. Good to see Mainland forced to get off their r's!
