yes scottie road, seen them play?? Any team that can go 8 games unbeaten, conceeding just 1 and along the way cruising by speaking to some deserves a bit of credit..

Your comments would appear that you dont know much about football.. A) Any player can make the most of opportunities if and when provided ( think you will find this player is not starting ). B) I'm pretty sure this season is a hell of a lot different from last in terms of player quality, coaching and technical support C) They already comfortably beat a MPL side, and think you will find they would more than compete in MPL next season. D) And their reserves lost to Western MPL 3-2.. Think you will find they deserve more credit! Another jealous ChCh United or Waimak supporter maybe?

This sounds like an over-zealous, paranoid uni supporter if you ask me. For a club claiming no political bias, that seems like a pretty charged statement.

Nomads at the same point in the season last year had only conceded 2 goals, and both teams scored a similar amount of goals. The only difference is Nomads lost to Selwyn, while Uni have yet to lose a game (did draw vs Cashmere Tech though). Also, nomads was the team coming down from Premier. Uni have been stuck in div 1 for years, and for them to set the standard (even if it is in Div 1) is a positive step forward for the quality of the leagues and strength of the clubs.

Unlike Womans Pem, where different teams improve / get worse on an annual basis based on player movement, Uni have built themselves a strong side not at the cost of other clubs.

On that note, if Uni played Nomads tomorrow, I would put my money on Uni. However, for them to 'more than compete' at MPL level?? Not sure.
