So with Coastal naming Ekow as their coach for 2016 and assuming that there will be no change at Cashmere Technical, Ferrymead Bays and Nelson Suburbs that just leaves Halswell, Western, Universities and FC Twenty11 to sort coaches out or confirm coaching staff for next season.

Mick Currie, top coach just finished at Central football available in Ch,ch as required to prepare team for 2016. Great development coach and experienced senior coach.

highly respected. Any club interested ? Give me a ring 021 756 005

I have head that work commitments may rule out Glenn. Hope that is not the case.

Don't believe that. He is not going anywhere. He loves his squad and may well win the title with FC at some point.

Are you serious?? You clearly an FC player with the dribble you've been spouting lately.. While I applaud Fc winning promotion again, and if your to be taken seriously a very talented group, however they will be lucky to survive their first year back..

Mick would ba an asset to any club, would be great to see him have a crack at MPL level. I'm sure he'll be snapped up by the likes of Western or Halswell.

You might be waiting awhile Broonie,

On another note, really looking forward to cup finals day tomorrow. 2 teams who probably weren't many peoples picks to be there taking on the 2 champions, both should be exciting games.

yes I'm looking forward to it too

Really impressed with the way FC play, they've got good people running the club , so are definitely a club going places . Which is what the region needs, also seen the young Parklands team play and train. So I don't think fc or parklands will have any fears going into the 2 games.

Hopefully a good croud

it started out being about a talented young man doing well, then it became about old people and what they do. I did reply, but my good lady pointed out that we were taking away from the actual person mentioned, so I deleted my original post.

So yeah, I will answer your question later on. At the moment it's outside my pay grade so I won't comment.

Have a fantastic Friday!

it's nothing to do with "having some". Its more whether it's worth discussing between two people who both had bugger all to do with it. See! I am growing up! And being all mature and stuff!

Well I coach in the MPL and it has brought the reputation and integrity of the comp into question so as one of its stakeholders it does have something to do with me. And you coach at the club in question at Junior level, you should have a strong opinion,so being mature it shouldn't be a problem giving your view on it. Or your endorsement .

You have a view on a lot of things what you have bugger all to do with like who is or isn't our 15s coach for example and put in wee rumours here and there so come on , let me know your views . Or are you next in line for an mpl debut ?

I will have the discussion with you whenever you like, and I do have a fairly strong opinion on it, but if the AshBishop is going to start that sharke, then the conversation/espousal of views is not going to happen here.

Far too many opinions from far too many players. Stick to scoring goals Banterboy

FC were beaten fairly and squarely by one of the best teams in NZ. There is nothing wrong with that and I make no excuses and take it on the chin. That's what grown ups do. Grown ups also encourage young bucks not put them down.

All Whites 82 should be aware that there were 6 eligible MPL clubs that didn't make the English cup final whereas a Div 1 side did. Many a team has suffered at the hands of the outstanding Cashmere Tech team so I wouldn't judge on one game. Good luck to FC next season. I hope they prove a point.

I hope FC have a good 2016 season but still not enough talent around to sustain a strong and competitive ten team MPL.

hats off to fc, they have been terrific this season, and got Tech on a very good day.

My first year of coaching Woolston we got thumped 11-1 by Chatham cup winners Dunedin Tech , we were in a similar position as fc are now , the next year with a couple of experienced additions we got promotion to National League. They have a very good coach with some exciting forward players , so I think with the drive of the people behind FC , and learnings from today , they will be a breath of fresh air to league next year .?? to Glenn and his team and all they have achieved this year .
