If Tech and Coastal players make up the majority of the Dragons squad then we are sure fire wooden spooners this year. Awful standard of football on a paddock of grass not suitable for 8 year olds. And the two "coaches" on the sideline did absolutely nothing to help improve the game either, just yelling and screaming at whoever listened. Dreadful
Oh wow, I must have missed this riveting report of the game through all my tears on the weekend, thanks for your feedback.
In terms of Canterbury United, Coastal has 1 player in the team (JJ) and by my rough count, Tech has 8, plus 2 Southern Utd. So yer, if the link is between why the Dragons are sh!t, bottom of the table this year and perhaps next season, I agree, it's Tech's fault.
Despite my beloved team losing, I really enjoyed the game. It was close, we both had chances, and on a different day against a different team with a different ref, we may have actually got a penalty. You know it's bad when the opposition captain gets up at the post-match and agrees it was. There were heaps of people at the game, about the same as Canterbury Utd, and it was a battle. Yes the pitch ain't the greatest, however that's how we have had to roll out East. We don't all get pitches paid for and maintained, we make do with what we've got.
I hope to see your cheery face at the next game, come and say hi. I'll be the one crying into my Double Brown.
