Interesting issue this. I can see both sides, Mike trying to ensure the Pride retain their title so will want a full squad to cover any injuries that may arise and no doubt may be worried if he releases players for the Coastal tournament that the may be either over used or injured over the weekend.

I think there is a difference between the two tournaments in that the Napier one is considered by many as a key fixture on the national scene, including NZ Football with national age group coaches / selectors on hand to run a rule over players, with the Coastal tournament not at the same stage at the moment.

Also some will no doubt argue the playing surface the Park Island is several notches ahead of Cuthberts Green.
