In a blow to Cashmere WPL hopes I'm hearing Annalie Longo will be playing for a mens team this season.
Selwyn 1st team played preseason game yesterday against Bays reserves. Victoria Esson was in goal for them. She was very good. Would say she is an asset for that team (have never seen her play or the Bays side). Obviously Annalie Longo will also be a big asset to whatever side she plays in. As I have no idea, what rules are there (if any?) for female players playing at as high as level in the men's game? Is it Mainland's jurisdiction or do Fifa rules come in?
Only rules I have seen that prevent a female playing against males is in the Chatham Cup as the rules refer to a him / he, rather than the term player, same applies in reverse to the National Women's KO Cup.
Certainly has happened in the past.
