Finally got the chance to write this out,
Otago uni play a good brand of football, very aggressive, possession-based and fun to watch. Old Boys had a good defence for the most part but Uni was eventually able to break it down in the second half. I'd say the main reason Old boys didn't score was because Uni controlled the ball so much. Uni was constantly on attack and pretty much maintained the same pace for the full 90. That said they do seem to be their strongest right out the gate which leaves questions about after the initial 15 minutes of a half, but they have all season to work on that.
I will say however that this isn't a club, so there's no food and drinks and the crowd just consisted of family and friends. Only around 20-30 spectators which wasn't great but having seen their game against Auckland City last year in the Chatham Cup I know that given the occasion the student body will turn up.
If you wanna watch some fun football I'd say it's worth coming down with some friends and some drinks, just keep in mind that this team isn't a club like others around Dunedin
Overall I'd give it a 5/10, the actual football makes it worth popping in with friends every now and then
