I don't know who's who but they looked like a very decent team. Most likely team from this w.e's tournament to do well in Napier.

I know nothing about Bay Olympic. I know plenty about Albany United (more than one should know tbf).

Both will be decent but certainly not the strongest Auckland sides there.

Three for me, and two for them.

Yes. Best chance we have ever had and will have for a long time probably. Said in a previous post on here only 4 of our first team players this season were unavailable for selection for napier, so we have a strong squad. Still have to perform over that weekend though.

Three for me, and two for them.

tangs terrible, the ref for the olympic v utd playoff game took the cake though. lost the plot

Who is Tang anyway? He puts himself there to be abused and ridiculed. He probably doesnt even know that so many of us here have been railing him all this years. Even if he does, who cares? We have the numbers and with the inverse god amongst us, we can rail Tang with impunity. If anyone complains, we can demand them to be excommunicated. We are a force to be reckoned with, just like the ss under fuelrer and our number is growing. We rule!

Godwins Law:
is a humorous observation made by Mike Godwin in 1989 which has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches. There is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that once such a comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever mentioned the Nazis has automatically "lost" whatever debate was in progress.

Thanks for ending it.......clown

They wont do well in Napier. I cant see a striker amongst that lot that any team is going to be worried about.

Hamish Patrick - Played in champs premier.
Cody Sanders - played in central league for Petone.

Those two strikers may not stand out in those grades but they are playing quality adult defenders, This weekend shows that its easier when you play against guys your own age.

And Justin Gulley is going to be worth a few goals as he is a stand out player in champs and deserves his team wellington place. Teams HAVE won Napier with less talent up front. If anything It's their defensive line you would have to question in a tough group this year.

The teams that win Napier keep it tight at the back. Woolston Tech was a classic example of this in 2007, Petone 2008.

Cody Sanders told the Petone club he wasn't interested in playing this year as he was to busy with his job and wouldn't have time to commit. Sounds like someone is telling porkies!

As this topic has become about refs, thought I'd add that I live near Hutt Park (always get Bell and Hutt Park confused!) and went down to watch the game Sunday morning. Excellent refereeing from a young kid of about 13 or 14. Better than Tang and Richter combined.

That would be Kieran Duncalf possibly? Good young ref - been doing U21s and its his first season. 15 though - not to sure he'd like people thinking he was 13! jinz2010-10-06 20:29:18

We had the young lad for 2 or 3 of our games and he was excellent. Heard quite a few positive comments about him as well.
